St Marys football club are always looking for more help. Light hands make light work. We are a very diverse club and throughout the years football is very male dominated. We want to change that within our area. Football should be for everyone. We encourage more females to come and join the club.

Grants Officer – Position Description


Grants Officer
Responsible for
The Grants Officer is responsible for the seeking and applying for Grants on behalf of the (St Marys Fc). The
Grants Officer is directly responsible to the President and members of (St Marys Fc).
Tasks
The Grants Officer should:

  • Identify and suggest grant opportunities that can assist the St Marys Fc with projects and equipment;
  • Provide monthly updates to the committee regarding grant applications and opportunities.

    Knowledge and Skills Required
    Ideally a Grants Officer is someone who:
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Able to allocate regular time periods to investigate and apply for grants
  • Is well informed of all organisation activities.
  • Is positive and enthusiastic.
  • Knowledge of the St Marys Fc operations, rules and policies. Although we can run through this with applicants.
  • Access to internet, email, web, MS Word, MS Excel or equivalent/compatible
    Appointment terms and Time Commitment Required
  • The Grants Officer is appointed for a term of 12 months.
  • The estimated time commitment required as the Grants Officer of the St Marys Fc is “6” hours per
    week.
  • Attendance at monthly Committee Meetings (approx “2” hours in length).

Fundraising Officer

St Marys Fc is looking to recruit an experienced fundraising person to increase its income in order to develop its programmes of support to the community. 

Do you have the imagination, technical expertise, experience and passion to plan and supervise fundraising development efforts for the St Marys Fc?

Can you build a team and lead the fundraising events for the club?

Can you build a network of local supporters and volunteers and manage and sustain those relationships? If so, you could be the person we need.

If not do not worry we can give training to the applicant who applies for the role. We have no fundraising team at the minute as a lot of individuals within the club are doing what they can. COACH EDUCATION

We are always wanting to invest in our coaches. We want all our coaches to get educated through the IFA coaching programmes (badges). We want to set a certain standard at the club, advancing the coaches knowledge and skills will have a splash and ripple effect on the players within the club. We are looking for someone to help lead coaches onto their coaching journey through.

Roles:

Oversee/supervise coach education within the club, have a responsibility, ensuring
targets are reached relating to the number of courses organised/delivered.

MEDIA TEAM

St Marys fc have many media positions available. The club run various social media platforms. They also create and produce videos (highlights) and promotional videos. We run our own website and there is always content to be published. We are looking to recruit video production volunteers, social media volunteers, content creators, graphic designers.
