Hi everyone, my name is Bernadette McCaffrey, and there is some information below.

I have decided to shave my head in support of two charities. Ive been considering this for quite some time. The first charity I decided on about two years ago and the second I only just decided a few months ago. The first charity is for Counselling for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, it’s a Mental Health service. The person who works there is Louise Mcdonnell and she is amazing, she signs fluently and is there to help Deaf and Hard of hearing people through the counselling process. It’s a wonderful service and I feel proud that our country, Northern Ireland has a fantastic service like this and I would like to donate to it.
The second charity I would like to donate to is Marie Curie and this has really been a family decision, my family The Gilbrides, my mum & my three sisters owe a big debt of gratitude to the Marie Curie staff who looked after and cared for my father when he was ill. We have taken the decision to donate to them as we will never forget what they did for us and want to say a massive thank you to them, they will always hold a special place in my heart. Before my father passed away, he knew that I would shave my head, we had a family discussion about it and my father was proud that I was doing this and that we as a family want to support them by giving a donation. Thank you

I’ll be shaving my head on Friday 4th March 2022 but I haven’t confirmed the time or venue yet due to coronavirus issues. Closer to the time I’ll update everyone on the time and venue.
